Hey guys, I'm trying to get a hold of demo videos that shocase the OLED technology. Darkest blacks and awesome colors. I recall watching an OLED curved display by Samsung or LG running a demo video that had very bright colors on black background, and the video looked awesome.

Does anyone know where I can find such a video? I watched a few videos on youtube but the compression really hurts the video quality so it turns out all blocky and choppy. Is there a place online where I can download demo videos in HD quality that isn't compressed?

I know about the demo-world.eu website but most of the stuff is compressed and no OLED videos. The demo videos on the LG 55ec9300 Best Buy demo are just two video files running off of a USB flash drive; surely you could aquire those files discretely with a friend and two flash drives of your own. Here's how it'd work. You'd go to plug in your own flash drive, but at the same time remove the demo flash drive. From there have the friend play with the TV, viewing various video and/or image content off of your own flash drive that you just plugged in.

While the friend does this, take the demo flash drive to a computer and plug the LG demo flash drive and your own second flash drive into said PC, then copy the demo video files from the LG demo drive over to your own 2nd flash drive. Finally, unplug both drives from said PC, go back to the demo unit with your friend occupying it and, while retrieving your first flash drive, plug the LG demo flash drive back in.

If any earlier releases or beta versions of SP3 were installed on the system before, they should be uninstalled before proceeding. Content provided for informational purposes only. I totally could have done this on Sunday, but I just didn't think of it - the only part I did was playing content off of my own flash drive, and none of the store employees seemed to care, heck one even casually talked to me for a couple seconds saying the infinite ocntrast is 'pretty sweet' (I'd like to point out that I was playing video game and anime-styled content, so it was very obvious that it wasn't LG's official demo videos). EDIT: This is all assuming that LG's WebOS implementation doesn't already have the ability to copy & paste files from one USB drive to another, because if it can do that, well then shoot that'd be a much easier way! When I play any clip in full screen, most scenes are blocky even though they are in HD, the compression for lower file size makes the video blocky and noisy.

I noticed this when playing back h.264/MP4 videos on the Best Buy demo unit. I think it may not be using the full in-loop deblocking filter that's used with h.264 decoding, or heck it may even be disabled. The thing is, the in-loop deblocking filter is one of the most CPU-intensive aspects and some media players on the PC (like VLC) allow you to turn it down or even disable it for performance reasons. It's very possible that the hardware in the TV cannot quite handle full-on h.264 decoding, which would explain the possible stuttering I saw from 720p60fps content.

The easiest way to confirm would be to hook up a laptop or something to the TV and play the video files through said laptop.
