Free Download Program Free Elnita 220 Manual
• 1116 Answers SOURCE: I found two sites with a manual for this model. Both are around $15.00 - sew4less and sewusa.
If you open the front of the serger, there should be a threading guide printed on the serger or on the inside of the door. Raise the thread antenna to it's highest position. Set the tensions to zero and raise the presser foot. Turn the handwheel until the loopers are at their highest position - the handwheel may have a mark on it that aligns with one on the side of the serger to help with this. Starting at the right, thread the upper looper first.
Manual for elnita 220. Does anyone have a pdf, or similar electronic copy? Thanks, k_akima, but they want $20! I was hoping to find a manual for the Elna Elnita 220 for free, as I just picked one up for $20 (the machine, not the manual), Paul Montreal Jun 10, 2012. I am looking for a free manual for a Elnita 220 sewing machine to download.
Near the top of the page, look for 'Graziano SAG 14 manuel', clicking on this phrase will take you to the list of downloads. It is a 14.2 MB pdf. Graziano SAG 14 (+ 17). Graziano machine tools were made in Tortona, Italy and although a wide range of lathes was manufactured, the company's most popular appears to have been the SAG 180, later to be sold as the improved SAG 14. After threading, reset the tensions back to approximately mid-range. Lower the presser foot and stitch a chain of thread to make sure the serger is stitching as it should. It is essential that you always use it this way, wind it with the holes on top and load it into the bobbin holder the same way.
Have a look at the image above, you need to load the bobbin in and click the thread into the tension spring so it doesn't lift back out when you pull the thread upwards. There should be an audible click as it goes in. If you can't get it right or this image is just too small, feel free to email me and I'll send you the image and talk you through it, I have a TSP machine too. Also, check my tip on bobbin winding here it is important to get a good even tension onto your bobbin as you wind the thread on, you may need to manually add some tension to the thread as it winds off the spool, as I've described in my tip. I sold these machines for Elna and customers would bring them in complaining of problems with their machine. Almost aways, it was the needle in backwards, bobbin upside down, thread/lint buildup in the bobbin race or badly wound bobbin that was the problem.
Hope this helps you Gaylene, but if not, please email, I may be able to send you the relevant manual pages. Posted on Jun 15, 2012.
